Breathing exercises: One way is to practice breathing exercises. Find a quiet place. Sit up straight, with tongue just behind your top teeth. Breathe in your nose to 4 counts; hold breath for 7 counts; breathe out your mouth with a "whoosh" sound, for 8 counts. Repeat 4 times, twice a day. This helps balance your nervous system. Talk to your doctor & nurses about any questions you have -- this may help also.
