Colon cancer i had a colonoscopy 31/2 yrs. ago but am having trouble lately could polyps grow that quickly i won't have another colonoscopy for 6 mo?

Very unlikely: Adenomatous polyps (the ones that can turn into cancer) become more common the older you are. The more the number of polyps seen and removed, the higher the growth rate and likely the chance of finding new ones. Having polyps or cancer at a young age though should trigger shorter intervals to surveillance colonoscopies.

May not be polyps: If you had colon cancer 3 1/2 years ago and having problems, get re evaluated- both for recurrent polyps or tumors.
