Same cause, alas...: ...As acne everywhere else. And it's very common, and socially very discouraging. There is nothing special (nor especially "wrong") when someone develops acne on his or her chest. It's just the bad luck of the draw. The good news (that won't seem good for a while) is that the majority of cases of acne in a young adult just go away after a few years. But you should see a dermatologist to treat it.
