Yes...: Abdominal symptoms e.g. Discomfort, cramping etc. Is often referred pain from either the small or large intestine. The location of the pain in the abdomen reflects the origin of the symptom based on whats called a dermatomal distribution. Patients with ibs (irritable bowel) have heightened awareness of intestinal contractions, spasms and gas in their intestines.
