See your OB: Not everyone is going to get pregnant right away. In fact, we consider taking a year to get pregnant (if you are <35 year old) normal. If it has been longer, you should see your OB to find out what is going wrong. If you are older than 35 don't wait that long. See your doctor after 6 months of trying.

See Ob/Gyn: See a ob/gyn or infertility specialist for infertility evaluation. Infertility = failure to conceive after 1 year of unprotected sex, and affects ~15% of couples. Evaluation involves confirmation of ovulation, patency of fallopian tubes, and assessment of sperm characteristics. Abnormalities in any one of these may make it more difficult to conceive, even with a history or previous live birth(s).
