Symptoms & tests: I am not sure what location is of concern. In women, vaginal yeast infection is by far the most common one. Usually, they complain of curdy, discharge with or without associated burning. Frequently, they may have no symptoms. Using KOH preparation or a new test called affirm may confirm the presence of vaginal yeast. Gi yeast may be revealed at the time of egd/colonoscopy. Thrush is visible yeast.

Yeast infection: If it’s your 1st possible yeast infection or you aren’t sure if it’s yeast – see your doctor. Symptoms of a yeast infection may include: burning, redness & itching of the vulva; burning with urination & vaginal intercourse & a clumpy, white, vaginal discharge with no odor. Sometimes the discharge isn’t apparent.
