Home pregnancy test: Most home urine pregnancy tests should pick up a pregnancy at time of missed menses. If pregnantcy test is positive, follow-up with ob/gyn soon to confirm an intrauterine pregnancy (and not an ectopic or tubal pregnancy). One may also follow-up with ob/gyn if pregnancy test is negative but menses doesn't come.
