Not needed: Getting the Hepatitis B Vaccine is a good idea, but isn't needed for your dental procedures. You are unlikely to get hepatitis or any other infection in the dental office. If you have any concerns, have an open discussion with your dentist about what they do to prevent infections and cross contamination in the office.

Partially: Full immunity does not develop instantaneously. It takes the series of injections for full immunity. However, the risk of contracting hep b in the the dental office is very, very, very small.
