Abuse is serious: Abuse, whether physical or mental, is a serious issue both in pregnancy and before/after. Here is an acog pamphlet on domestic violence- http://www.Acog.Org/publications/patient_education/bp083.Cfm and also one on you and your baby: prenatal care, labor and delivery, and postpartum care- http://www.Acog.Org/publications/patient_education/ab005.Cfm which is a nice over view and a part on 'abuse.'.
