A member asked:

How do doctors test for anemia?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Laboratory testing: If you symptoms suggest anemia (fatigue, paleness, signs of obvious blood loss), then your doctor will have a blood sample testing for red cell count, iron concentration and related issues such as morphology of the cells to determine the amount of anemia and the possible cause.
