Open cut on my toe, what should i do to prevent infection?

Local wound care: A simple cut with no signs of infection (pain, redness, swelling and drainage) can be treated with an antibiotic ointment and a dressing such as a band-aid changed daily. Try not to get the cut wet in the shower or bath as this can introduce a bacteria into the wound.

Cut toe: See your local podiatrist, keep it clean and dry until your appointment.
