A member asked:

Can amenorrhea be due to undereating?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Sometmes: In anorexia nervosa, with severe undereating, there is not enough adipose tissue to convert endogenous testosterone to estradiol, so that the testosterone affects the pituitary's release of fsh and lh and amenorrhea ensues. Cj glueck md.
