What are good home remedies for ingrown toenail?

Soak and see your po: You can soak the foot to help drain the infection, if present. The best thing to do is visit your local podiatrist for treatment. You may need partial/total and temporary/permanent removal of the offeding nail. Sometimes the doctor will just trim away the offending portion. Do not do your own "bathroom floor surgery", it may get worse. See a podiatrist pronto!

Nail remedies: Ingrown toenails can be remedied through soaking your foot in warm water, removal of embedded debris from the nail borders, and applying an antibiotic ointment to temporarily soften the corners. One should always try to cut the nails strait across to avoid leaving an embedded nail spicule. If pain or redness continues get it looked at by a professional.
