Yes: If for sure gout, then short dose regimen of steroids may give relief. The antique treatment with Colchicine has worked, but must be in the context of review of all medications and doses. Long term diet and uric acid reduction with Allopurinol may be appropriate

You did not state: What body part has the gout. If it happens to be the foot, perform hot water soaks (without burning yourself). If pain is bad, a podiatrist could give you an injection, again assuming its in the foot.
