Not allergic: Adult onset milk allergy is very rare. Patients may have positive tests, but they are still unlikley to develop milk allergy. If it does not provioke any symptoms, you can continue to consume dairy. The most common adult onset reaction to dairy is lactose intolerance, which ususally is associated with bloating and diarrhea.

Casein sensitivity: Some people have casein sensitivity, as well as other food sensitivities. Igg testing or alcat testing may help uncover such sensitivities.

Doubt it: Milk allergy is unusual at your age, unless you have never outgrown childhood milk allergy. (85% do by age 5). Lactose intolerance is common in adults can not break down milk sugar (lactose) and develop abdominal symptoms and diarrhea with milk, but not cheese. The tests recommended for proper diagnosis: skin tests, blood immunocap or rast not alcat or igg. See a board-certified allergist.
