Can i ask a new doc to prescribe desoxyn (methamphetamine)? it seems to help with obesity & depression. i have dealt with both for 16yrs. i've never been on meds.

Probably not: Desoxyn is a methamphetamine, and primarily used for the treatment of attention deficit/hyperactivity disorders. The uses that you mention are off label, or not sanctioned by the fda. There are other medications that are better for depression, and medications tend to not work long term for weight loss. Speak to your primary care provider.
