See below.: It means there is a concern of normal pressure hydrocephalus and a repeat scan or exam is recommended to detect whether or not this finding is significant.

Ventriculomegaly: The MRI findings imply that there is some loss of brain tissue/cerebral atrophy. This frequently leads to compensatory dilation of the cerebral ventricles. That is what is seen in nph, which clinically has the triad of dementia, gait problems, and bladder incontinence. The follow-up MRI scan may tell you if the ventricles are increasing in size. Also there are special CSF flows studies for nph.
