A member asked:

Is 1, 300 calories enough for a overweight, breastfeeding mom? 232lbs and 5'8. i take a prenatal vitamin everyday and try to eat healthy.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Probably not: 1.3k calories is a tiny amount. For a small woman in the low 100's, who is not lactating, 1.3k calories is probably ok, if not a little low, but certainly not for your weight/ height and situation. You'd be best to consult with a nutritionist, and get a good target daily calorie count, and a diet that you like and can adhere to. Something interesting.
