Help for COPD: Although COPD is not 100% curable, the proper treatment can give relief and improvement that can be very significant. The best course of action is to talk to your doctor about a referral to a doctor who specializes in this disease, usually a pulmonary specialist.

Always: There are numerous studies going on for copd. Newer medications come out every few years and advances over the past 10 years have dramatically improved COPD management. Unfortunately there hasn't been many breakthroughs yet in repairing the damage, only preventing worsening. Don't smoke, continue to get regular check-ups (including breathing tests - pfts), and keep your fingers crossed.
