See your OB!: First, good job on stopping the smoking. Keep up the good work. Impossible to determine what is going on without a complete evaluation- physical exam and ultrasound. The ultrasound can show if there has been any separation of the placenta or shortening of the cervix. Cervical shortening is a predictor of preterm labor and premature membrane rupture. So get seen and treated as required. Good luck!
