I suspect you may: Have muscle tension causing this. But other causes are possible. Please check w your doc to verify the cause & figure out how best to help you feel better. Relaxation exercises like yoga, meditation & tai chi can help, as can some other exercises. Sometimes pt can help, as can massage therapy.

Arthritis / tension : It could be either tension headache but most likely cervical nerve root compression and muscle spasm from degenerative disc disease.
