Get 2nd opinion: Not sure who told you they were migraines but frequently other types of headaches are misdiagnosed as migraines. If you haven't already, i would get opinions from both a neurologist and an interventional pain management physician. I frequently see patients who are misdiagnosed as having migraines when in fact they have either occipital neuralgia or cervicogenic headaches from cervical facet joints.

An Accerator : I am an interventionalist pain management anesthesiogist. A status migraine which appears that you have, most likely than not has a secondary cause accelerating your headache. One needs to identify the accelerator to your headache to bring the actual headache to stop/arrest. For exam: tension or arthritis in the back of the neck can pull and irritate the occipital nerve/bring migraine.
