How long after an oral extraction should you wait to drink alcohol?

Depends: Probably should wait at least until you are no longer on medications related to the tooth extraction, like antibiotics or pain medications. Pain medications and alcohol definitely do not mix.

Alcohol post surgery: Perhaps 24 hours if no complications have occurred. Some general advice for everyone is that if one finds themselves counting the hours until they can drink alcohol, that perhaps this beverage has become a problem. Many health problems can be averted by keeping alcohol consumption to moderate amounts.
