What is whipples disease? how to tell if i have it?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

GI infection: Whipple's disease is a bacterial infection of the GI tract that can also effect other body organs and can be very serious if not treated. The diagnosis is made through a small intestine biopsy and special tests on the biopsy specimen for the bacteria that causes whipple's. Antibiotics can usually cure the disease.
