I keep hearing voices and seeing things when i try to sleep. what could be wrong?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See a doctor soon: It could range from the development of a psychiatric illness (like bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder or schizophrenia), to a drug side effect, to neurological conditions that cause daytime "dreams, " which are often just when falling asleep or just after waking up - hypnogogic or hypnopompic hallucinations. A neurologist or psychiatrist can assess you, or start with your pcp.
