See below: Opiates don't deplete nutrients. What is depleted is your body's ability to make neurotransmitters. It can take months for these to return to nl. It may sound impossible, but trying to get some daily exercise (start w walking, working towards 30-60 mins/day) is one of the best things you can do. Otherwise, eat well, get support, & focus on your goals, including sobriety. Every step forward counts!

Tired from opiates: One of the side effects of opiates is drowsiness. This feeling is from how the drug works on receptors in the body. There are a lot of side effects from opioids but losing nutrients is not one of them. If you feel bad from the opioid you are on for pain, talk to the doctor and she may find an alternative for you. There are ways to keep u alert during recovery from anesthesia as well.
