Not uncommon: There are some who have a craving for raw bread dough, flour, or as one of my patients had, baking soda. It comes and goes, and may not be related to anything. If you find it's getting more out of control, or you crave other non-food stuffs like drywall, or dirt, then you should have a check to make sure you aren't vitamin or iron deficient.
