Are there any safe, non addictive sleeping aids available?

Antihistamines: No drug or medicinal supplement is completely "safe." antihistamines such as otc Diphenhydramine have very little adverse effects other than drowsiness. But even these can sometimes cause some drowsiness or delayed reflexes the next morning, in susceptible people. They are the least likely to cause adverse effects with long term use.
