Only by prescription: Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) is a controlled substance & it is illegal to take it without a prescription. Your prescriber will evaluate & determine medically necessary treatment. Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) may be prescribed "off-label", i.e. For patients without adhd, if the prescriber determines it is medically necessary. Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) is safe when taken as prescribed under the care of the prescriber.
