How long do you have take medication for active tuberculosis? what medications are used to treat it?

6-9 months: Treatment for active TB consists of an initial phase of two months with four medications (rifampin, isoniazid, pyrazinamide, ethambutol). This is followed by the continuation phase of another 4-7 months with Rifampin and Isoniazid for drug susceptible tb.
