There is: False positive chlamydia test is when the tests shows that there is presence of chlamydia in the specimen, when, in fact, there is no chlamydia present. It's an extremely unlikely possibility, however, if you are certain that you have not been exposed to it, you may want to get re-tested.

There can be: Almost any test has the potential for a false positive (or false negative) result. However, even if there is only a slim chance you have been exposed, it is probably a good idea to get treated. Chlamydia can cause some serious problems if left untreated.

Yes: All tests have both false positives (meaning you don't really have it) and false negatives (meaning you really do have it). Chlamydia testing is very accurate but yes a false test is possible. You can always requests a retest and the test can be done through a different lab for confirmation.
