A member asked:

Why would my period come back if i have already hit menopause for about a year now?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Text book: Text book definition is that a woman can be considered in menopause, when she is near the age of menopause (older than 40) and has not had a period for a year. However, exceptions prove the rule could be one explanation for reoccurring bleeding after more than a year. If that is not the case, which nobody can know, something could be going on that needs to be investigated by a gynecologist.
