GI : Of the 10% to 20% of people who become symptomatic from e. Histolytica infection it is usually mild with loose stool, abdominal pain & cramping. In more serious cases of dysentery there is bloody diarrhea, fever & abdominal pain. There are cases where it has spread to the liver, lungs & brain.
