What could cause my thyroid numbers to be off even though i am taking synthyroid?

Variable thyroid: Presumably your thyroid numbers were normal previously, on the same dose? If you thyroid numbers are now off, it could be from missing a dose, or variable absorption from taking it at different times of the day. If you changed brands of levothyroxine, they can be different, even though the same dose. Less likely, your thyroid may not be completely "dead".
