A member asked:

I developed a fever after taking laxitive. is this dangerous?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Very unlikely: There is no direct known connection between use of otc laxatives and fever. Having said that, it is possible that the reason you feel the need to take it, could be the result of any number of conditions that may have fever as a component symptom. Any long term bowel changes without other explanation should be checked by your primary care physician. Good luck!
