Abnormal thinking: If a person has enough symptoms to be diagnosed with schizophrenia, then he may appear shy and odd because he avoids interactions with others. He likely has had unsuccessful interactions with people in the past, due to abnormal thinking, trouble interpreting speech and body language, delusions, hallucinations, incorrect emotions, etc... If he is now paranoid, he can be aggressive against others.

No reality-testing: Schizophrenia is probably the most serious/severe form of psychosis: a break in having an understanding of reality. Patients have beliefs that are not culturally accepted, odd perceptions listened, observed and felt, apathy, poor affective displays + disorganization of speech/behavior. Patients typically get admitted to units when they become dangerous to self or others by omission/commission.
