Impetigo?: I wonder if you are referring to impetigo. This is a common skin infection caused by strep or staph. It has a characteristic "honey colored" crust, and often small open sores. It is easily treated with antibiotic ointment, and it's very common in children. Google it up - i'm sure you'll find a picture. Lgromkomd.
