It could mean: A few things. Are you on the pill? Are you sexually active? It could mean you need more estrogen in your pill, you could benefit from the pill, have an infection of the cervix, have a polyp. There are many reasons for intermenstrual bleeding so u may wanna get an exam, especially if painful or having unprotected intercourse. Good luck.

Could be infection: A bloody discharge could be an infection and should be evaluated...Also if u use tampons, ensure one was not left in by accident.
