Doctor can evaluate: The left upper abdomen includes many things, so a primary care doctor can evaluate to see what sort of lump is there. Lumps can be in the skin, the muscle, or a rib. Deeper inside are the stomach, spleen, part of the intestine, part of the pancreas, etc... A thorough exam at the doctor's office should be very helpful.
