Need to be examined: When your knee locks, you may have damaged your meniscus. Consider an evaluation, xray and likely an MRI of your knee. That is all expensive. I hope you have insurance or you should plan of getting some. If resolves now, you'll have to consider the fact it will potentially recur in the future with less stress.
