Could the pains in my hip have something to do with my knee?

Possibly: Pathology in the hip joint can cause not only hip pain, but referred pain to the knee as well. This is often seen with painful arthritis of the hip. Would recommend an orthopaedic surgery consult with xrays for thorough evaluation.

It can.: Pain from one joint may alter your walking to the point that if may affect the adjacent joints.
