Ruptured membranes: She should be evaluated immediately in labor and delivery room of the hospital. If she has ruptured her membranes ("broken her bag of waters"), she and the baby are at risk for severe infection if she has not delivered within 24 hours. Though it could be a vaginal infection, it is important she call her doctor right away !
