Neither one: If you have persistent cough , you need to be evaluated thoroughly to find the cause of cough. Both antibiotics can work at some extent community acquired sensitive pathogen if indicated. First thing to find the cause of chronic cough and then treat the cause. See pulmonologist or your physician
