Seek help: You definitely can be helped with a combination of therapy and medication. It would be good to see a psychologist and a psychiatrist; one can provide therapy, and the other medications. Both work together.

Stress; anxiety: Start with fp first, who may start mood enhancing meds as well as find out what issues are stressing u. May refer u to therapist who can delve deeply into problems. Fp can deal with medical issues. Try yoga/tai chi/meditation as means to de-stress & to meet new people in relaxed setting. Exercise can burn off built-up adrenaline that adds to anxiety.
