B12 in ~All Foods: B12, aka cyanocobalamin, is abundant in foods of animal origin, plant not as much. B12 deficiency rare because in so many foods & nearly always due to ↓ absorption (intrinsic factor made by the acid secreting cells stomach), not lack of intake, need only tiny amounts & very slow turnover. Do your own search for such issues; e.g. "milk B12 nih" will produce useful good results with ↓ non-sense.

B12: Yes. B12 principally derives from animal sources and eggs. Dairy has little. Select soy can provide some. More vegan foods are being supplemented with B12, as B12 defici,ency is common among vegans. See www.vegetarian.org.uk/factsheets/b12factsheet.html
