Enlarged uterus: Fibroids are the most common cause of an enlarged uterus other than pregnancy. They are non-cancerous tumors in the smooth muscle wall of the uterus. They gradually grow and can become very large. Sometimes there are major symptoms like heavy bleeding or pelvic pain. There are some other problems that cause enlargement of the uterus. You should have a gyn specialist evaluate you.
