MaybeTime to Move On: Get reexamined by your primary care physician....Perhaps there is a tear of hernia behind all that pain. Sometimes special imaging studues like an abdominal wall MRI will find a problem that can be fixed surgically. After 2 - 3 months of yoga, massage therapy, pt, heat and analgesic medication, it is important to think "outside the box" when conditions continue causing significant pain.

See your doctor: A "groin injury" can mean a lot of different things: muscle strain, muscle tear, inguinal hernia, sports hernia, nerve injury... If you still have pain after several months, you probably need to get re-evaluated by your doctor.

VIsit your doctor: Groin injuries can take up to 12 months to heal. However, you may have a hernia. The best way to diagnose a hernia is by physical exam, but they can be missed. Sometimes a 2nd exam or an exam by a different doctor may identify a hernia. For my patients with groin pain that do not have a hernia and are not improving after 6 months, i recommend an mri.
