Dont do it: I'm a dentist not a dermatologist. There are so many products and medications out there why cross the line? I'm sure most dermatologists have medications that treat acne.

No: I have not heard this. The best way to treat acne is with very clean water and a mild soap without any chemicals, dyes, or perfumes. Wash the face several times a day this way. Also benzoyl peroxide is effective but tends to dry the face. Maybe try benzoyl peroxide only once a day. Eat a healthy diet with plenty of water. See a dermatologist if your acne is getting out of control.

NO: Do not use toothpaste on your face. It can be very irritating to your skin and do much more harm than good. Toothpaste has additives and chemicals made for the mouth that can irritate skin.
