Xanax (alprazolam): If prescribed by a physician, however, due to concerns about dependency when used long-term, there are other alternatives such as an ssri like zoloft or Celexa or lexapro (escitalopram). Discuss with your doc.

LIKELY CAN HELP: The drug does seem to work well, but has some long-term habituation issues, which requires close work with your doctor. Other meds are available also, so, flexibility does seem to provide a wider range of options. Discuss with your physician and perhaps also, a councilor.
