I'm no expert here..: Pacreatitis is an inflammation of the pancreas - an organ which spans across your upper abdomen above navel. Pancreatits can occur as a result of alcohol use, but it can also occur in the setting of gallstone obstruction of the ductal system in the area. It generally involves pain, nausea, vomiting. An acute pancreratitis can be life-threatening. A ct scan & blood tests can help sort this out.

Maybe: Just like most diseases, pancreatitis has many degrees of severity. Strictly speaking, you could have mild inflammation and not realize it. A severe case would often have symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, etc that would likely be more obvious. The question is, what behavior/action are you doing that has caused you to worry? You may need to talk to your doc about that too.
